After completing my photography training, I worked as a photo editor at Het Laatste Nieuws and Goedele magazine, and as the Head of Photography at De Morgen.

Following my career in the media, I brought Belgian photography to the (inter)national stage as the founder and face of De Donkere Kamer.

The AntwerpPhoto Festival, live shows on major Flemish stages, online masterclasses, my own webshop, and podcast make De Donkere Kamer the premier platform for Belgian photography.

  • The primary language within Connect is English because photography knows no language or national boundaries. I want to bring in input, inspiration, and expertise from outside Belgium, which is not possible if we continue to operate solely in Dutch. This is an additional reason why Connect is valuable: we aim high and we aim international. This will serve you well, even if you currently feel some resistance to this language aspect.
